The Kochi-based Premium Ferro Alloys Ltd (PFAL) has been awarded a memento and certificate for successfully implementing energy efficient technologies by the Ministry of Steel in association with United Nations Development Program (UNDP) / Global Environment Facility (GEF). This is part of their project on ‘Energy Efficiency Improvement in Steel Re-Rolling Mill Sector in India.’ PFAL has also been recognised as a model unit under the project. Shyam Sundar Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director, PFAL, received the award from Sayeddin Abassi, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Steel, at a function in New Delhi.
