Azure Power today announced signing of an initial agreement with the Rajasthan Government to develop a 1,000-MW solar power project.
The company is already building a 100-MW solar power plant to be commissioned by April 2015 in the State.
With this, the total investment of the company in the State is expected to reach over Rs 1,300 crore.
The 100-MW plant is slated to electrify 1,00,000 households and create an estimated 1,500 jobs in the locality.
