Berger Paints India Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 70.68 crore in the fourth (January-March) quarter of 2014-15 against Rs 57.94 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2013-14.
For the full year, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 266.03 crore (Rs 234.25 crore). The board on Friday recommended a final dividend of 65 per cent on a share of rupee 1.
The company said its powder coating plant at Jejuri near Pune in Maharashtra had commenced commercial production on May 5. The plant has an initial capacity of 900 tonnes a year, which is likely to be enhanced to 3,600 tonnes a year in the future.
The company also distributes powder coatings in India for Austrian company Tiger Coatings Gmbh & Co.
