Fast moving consumer goods major CavinKare has announced its entry into the retail segment by launching its first retail outlet under the brand Cavin’s Parlour, in Chennai. The parlour will retail the company’s product range including dairy products, beverage, snacks and other food products. According to CK Ranganathan, Chairman, CavinKare Pvt Ltd, the parlour besides being a retail outlet, will function as a stockist for 80-100 outlets in that locality. The pilot model, proved successful, will be replicated to have at least 50 such outlets before the end of the current financial year in Tamil Nadu. “Once we have 100 parlours in place, it would mean generation of additional ₹100-crore a year to the company,” he said.
