FMCG major Colgate Palmolive India today announced a voluntary retirement scheme (VRS) for employees at its toothpowder manufacturing facility at Waluj in Maharashtra.
Colgate Palmolive said that the acceptance of this offer “is likely to improve its competitive strength.”
In a BSE fling, Colgate Palmolive (India) Ltd said: “The company has on April 29, 2015 announced a voluntary retirement scheme for the employees at the toothpowder manufacturing facility at Waluj, Aurangabad, Maharashtra.”
The compensation package offered under the voluntary retirement scheme to the employees of the Aurangabad factory is consistent with the company’s caring approach, it added.
Shares of Colgate Palmolive closed at Rs 2011.90 apiece, down 0.23 per cent from its previous close on the BSE.
