Flytxt, the Technopark-based big data analytics solutions provider to telecom companies, has tied up with US-based Smaato.

Smaato is a global mobile real-time bidding ad exchange that helps mobile app developers and publishers increase ad revenues worldwide.

Mobile ad exchange

Flytxt’s mobile ad marketplace mADmart will enable telecom companies to monetise their data better through Smaato’s ad exchange.

This will give them instant access to global ad inventory, including brands such as Times Internet, ESPN CricInfo, NewsHunt and VuClip.

Smaato operates an independent global mobile ad exchange and a supply-side platform across 78,000 mobile app developers and mobile publishers.

On the demand side, Smaato is globally connected to more than 100 ad networks and 170 distribution service providers.

Monetising ads

Ajitpal Pannu, Chief Strategy Officer, Smaato, said the company would help Flytxt monetise mobile ads and the supply-side platform.

Flytxt would be able to generate significant ad monetisation opportunities for their telecom customers, he added.

Abhay Doshi, Vice-President, Products and Marketing, Flytxt, said telecom companies need to collaborate in the Over-the-Top (OTT) service domain to generate value for players and consumers using their core assets.

OTT refers to delivery of audio, video, and other media over the Internet without a multiple system operator being involved in the control or distribution of content.

“We can combine our platform’s data analytics capabilities and Smaato’s publisher reach to serve relevant ads to telecom customers.”
