Two Gujarat-based entrepreneurs are set to make it big with South India’s popular beverage — coconut water. Jeeva, an organisation founded by Bhavna Kanadia and her partner Nirav Patel from Anand, aims to sell health beverages made from coconut.

Initially, the company will market packaged coconut water in retail packs, which it launched on Wednesday at Anand. Subsequently, the company plans to introduce other coconut-based health beverages.

Jeeva coconut water will be first sold in Gujarat in packs of 250 ml costing ₹35 each. “In the next three-four months, we will cover the major markets in Mumbai and Rajasthan. And by the end of next year, we want to capture about 5-10 per cent of market share in India’s packaged coconut water,” Kanadia told Business Line.

“As a pre-launch exercise, we have been able to sell 25,000-30,000 bottles in one month. We are hopeful of achieving sales of around 70,000-80,000 bottles of 100 per cent natural coconut water after the launch,” she said. Coconut water is sourced from suppliers in South India and outsourced for packaging, as the company does not have a packaging or manufacturing facility in India.
