Telugu entertainment channel network MAA Television Network Limited has announced the launch of a television show Meelo Evaru Koteeshwaru the Telugu format of Kaun Banega Crorepati.

The show produced by Big Synergy will be hosted by Tollywood star Nagarjuna Akkineni.

Nimmagadda Prasad, Chairman of MAA TV, said, "MAA TV is known for its vibrant programmes and has attained the No.1 status now. With Nagarjuna Akkineni as the host, the new game show will be a visual treat for the viewers with an opportunity to win up to Rs 1 crore cash prize."

To be aired on MAA main GEC from June 2014, MEK seeks to raise the bar in Telugu TV space. as a winning and entertaining game show.

TV viewers get a chance to win cash prize ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1 crore by answering questions correctly.

Nagarjuna Akkineni said “I am excited about my role as the host for MEK. I am looking for this kind of opportunity on TV platform as it reaches each and every Telugu person. The show will bring the best drama of human life without missing on the entertainment quotient.”

The Call For Entries for the programme will commence on April 24, wherein participants throughout the state can register themselves to take part in the game show by answering questions through SMSs on their mobile phones.

Elaborate call centre arrangements have been made to respond to all the messages. Extensive mass media campaign has been designed using all media platforms like TV, newspaper, radio, hoardings and digital and social media to promote the show in every nook and corner of the state.
