Coca-Cola India on Monday said the company’s Vice-President for Human Resources, Sameer Wadhawan, will spearhead the newly-created function of 'Franchise Capability & Business Transformation'.
He will take over his new responsibility starting January 2017 and will continue to report to Venkatesh Kini, President, Coca-Cola India and South-West Asia.
“In his new role effective January 2017, Sameer will work closely with Coca-Cola’s 15 franchise bottling partners in the India and South-West Asia region to build their people capability, and help transform their business to be future ready,” the company said in a statement. The India and South-West Asia business of the Coca-Cola Company aspires to be the fifth largest market for the company, globally, it added.
In a statement, Kini said, "Over the last six years Sameer has shaped the talent development and capability building agenda within the company. Sameer takes on this business-critical role of developing capabilities for the franchise bottling operations across the region .”
Meanwhile, the company has appointed Manu Narang Wadhwa as the new Vice-President, Human Resources & Services. She is joining Coca-Cola India from American Express, where she served for nine years.
