Surana Telecom and Power Ltd has secured a mandate for development of a 10 MW solar power plant in Tumkur district of Karnataka in which it expects to invest Rs 60 crore.
In a statement to the BSE, the company said it participated in the Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd (KREDL) for setting up a 500 MW solar PV plant as part of the State’s effort to develop a solar power project in Karnataka.
The company has received a Letter of Award (LOA) from KREDL dated November 18 for development of the 10 MW solar power project in Tingloor Village of Tumkur district. The total outlay for the project is Rs 60 crore.
