The two-day TiE-ISB Connect has generated investments leads to the tune of Rs 330 crore. The one-on-one meetings held between the start-ups and representatives of various angel, venture capital investment firms have resulted in a preliminary investment interest among investors.

“As many as 35 start-ups out of the 120 start-ups that pitched their ideas to investors have generated tangible interest from the investors,” Suresh Challa, President of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE-Hyderabad), has said.

Over 700 delegates representing various start-up ecosystem players took part in the seventh edition of the Connect held at the Indian School of Business. On the second day, experts discussed the challenges and opportunities for technology start-ups in the healthcare and financial sectors.

Telangana IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan said that the State was in the process of setting an exclusive incubator for technology hardware start-ups. “The T-Works will provide common laboratory with sophisticated machinery and tools to help hardware start-ups to build products,” he said.

Jayesh Ranjan released an Aadhar-enablement solution, offered to start-ups free of cost. The start-ups will be provided API (Application Programme Interface) to let them integrate and make their products ‘Aadhaar Ready’.

Ananth Rao, Chair of TiE-ISB Connect 2016, said two start-ups -- Stumagz and ChitMonk -- had raised Rs 1.25 crore at the 'Guardian Angels' session held on Wednesday.
