Big push to infrastructure investment, five lakh rupees medical insurance for around five crore weaker section people and radical changes for SME sector funding are the factors that will help real estate industry, according to T Chitti Babu, CEO, Akshaya Homes, a leading Chennai-based builder. New funding authority and norms to finance affordable housing sector will also help the sector, as these initiatives will create many jobs in the country. Money earned by people has to come to capital market, real estate and then to gold, he said.
Initiatives like land reforms , REITS, FDI in real estate, RERA, GST, smart cities, housing for all 2022, push and incentives for affordable housing, were already announced before the budget.
"I would expect government to implement most of it through single window approvals in coming years, which will generate jobs and lead to expected GDP growth," he said.
