Post-graduate programmes of the Manipal-based T.A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) have earned initial accreditation from AACSB International.

A press release said here that the board of directors of AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) International has given initial accreditation to TAPMI's post-graduate programmes.

Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools, it said.

Quoting Mr John J. Fernandes, President and Chief Executive Officer of AACSB International, the release said: “We warmly congratulate TAPMI and its Director, Dr R.C. Natarajan, and welcome them into the AACSB family of internationally accredited business schools.”

Quoting Dr Ramdas M. Pai, Chairman of TAPMI, it said: “The entire TAPMI community worked for many years to put together the quality-process in place.

“This is recognition for TAPMI-community's ability to bring the whole team collectively together and their commitment to high quality education.”

TAPMI's achievement will be recognised at the AACSB International Conference and Annual Meeting (ICAM) in San Diego in the US by the end of this month, it said.

The release said that TAPMI joins a group of institutions that have achieved business accreditation from AACSB International.
