Industry body FICCI expects GDP growth for the 2014-15 fiscal at 5.5 per cent. In its Economic Outlook Survey, it expects the industrial sector to recover with an estimated growth of 3.3 per cent.
The survey forecasts agriculture and services sector growth in 2014-15 at 3.3 per cent and 7 per cent, respectively. The results also indicate an improvement in the quarterly growth numbers with GDP growth witnessing a marginal up tick in the fourth quarter of 2014-15, with an estimate of 5 per cent. Further, GDP growth is expected to recover to 5.2 per cent in the first quarter of 2014-15, the survey added.
