Net direct tax collection so far in the current fiscal stood at ₹2.60 lakh crore, said a senior Finance Ministry official.
The gross direct tax collection till September 26, 2014-15 fiscal, was at ₹3.37 lakh crore.
Of this, corporate tax contributed was ₹1.55 lakh crore during the period, the official said.
Personal income tax realisation stood at ₹1.01 lakh crore.
Besides, collection of Securities Transaction Tax (STT) and Wealth Tax stood at ₹3,222 crore and ₹357.5 crore respectively.
The Government has targeted to raise ₹7.36 lakh crore from direct taxes in 2014-15, up from over ₹6.36 lakh crore collected last fiscal.
