Healthcare tech start-up, JustDoc, has raised seed funding from TracxnLabs along with angels such as T.V.Mohandas Pai, Mohit Saxena (co-founder InMobi), Raghunandan G (co-founder TaxiForSure), Singapore Angel Network, and others.

JustDoc enables patients to do video consultations with qualified and experienced doctors via its website and app, from the comfort of their homes, offices or anywhere. Besides, patients can have 24/7 access to over a 100 quality doctors from top hospitals such as Apollo, Fortis, Manipal, and AIIMS.

Vikash Singh, Co-Founder, JustDoc, said “Technology will play a crucial role in making the world around us better. Healthcare is already employing technology in many unimaginable ways that is improving our lives.”

Currently, a large portion of patients either neglect or self-treat their medical problems for multiple reasons, including the lack of availability of doctors in the neighbourhood.

Through its service, JustDoc aims to make healthcare consultation easily accessible to all patients, wherever they may be.

Currently, JustDoc is targeting five specialisations — general medicine, psychology, gynaecology, dermatology and paediatrics. It is estimated that over 70 per cent of the problems in these areas can be solved via online consultations and JustDoc aims to capture this market. The start-up has been successful in this regard, doing more than 100 video consultations on its platform on a daily basis.

According to Mohit Saxena, co-founder, InMobi, "I have invested in JustDoc because their solution to these problems is to leverage technology and break barriers that include reducing financial burden, providing video medical consultation in rural areas by connecting everyone from anywhere to the best possible doctors at minimum cost."

Abhishek Goyal, co-founder, Tracxn, reflects the sentiment, “Indian consumers will increasingly want more and more goods & services to be delivered to their doorstep. Service quality in offline hospitals is not very exciting today. So there is a good opportunity to disrupt it and move it to a digital medium. Along with "primary consultation", a large fraction of "second opinion" and "casual health queries" are significantly under-served. Globally there is an opportunity for someone to come and make a large impact. We were excited about early signs given by the JustDoc team and decided to join their journey.”

Pranav Pai, investing on behalf of Mohandas Pai, added: "Access to quality healthcare that is inclusive and reliable is essential to improve the standard of living in any society. As with other vital services, there are significant resource and infrastructural constraints that continue to challenge the implementation of universal access to healthcare in our country.”

Currently, more than 2,500 consultations have been done on JustDoc. In the process, the start-up has saved over 20,000 hours for patients. JustDoc is now in the process of partnering with several top government and private hospitals.
