Gujarat Technological University (GTU) and Nasscom on Tuesday announced signing of a memorandum of understanding to enhance academic and intellectual interaction relating to technical and professional academic domains.

Under the MoU, both the organisations agreed to enter into partnership for joint research and consultancy, workshops, seminars, conferences, training, publications and exchange of resource persons. Both the organisations would develop long-term strategies and action plan.

The MoU was signed by Chetan Samant, Regional Head, West Region & Executive Director, IT-ITeS Sector Skills Council of NASSCOM and J C Lilani, in-charge Registrar of GTU, during the inaugural session of International Conclave on Higher Education: Quality, Governance & Innovation held at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.

Besides other areas, the organisations will promote exchange of faculty, research and skills training resource persons for skill training, guest lectures, joint research projects related to Engineering and Technological Sciences. Both the organisations will permit the use of equipment and resources for joint research, education and skill development.
