In an effort to offer technologies in IoT, mobility and Artificial Intelligence (AI), Panasonic India has announced their first India Innovation Centre in collaboration with TCS.

The CoE intends to serve as a platform for engineers from the country to come together and work, develop solutions that would focus on five areas – connected community, mobility, energy, industrial and financial solutions. Further, The CoE mainly focuses on innovations in the consumer electronic space and leverages the technology already available with Panasonic India to develop and innovate solutions. In this collaboration, TCS will bring in industry know-how, innovation practices and will look to create a better ecosystem for Panasonic to shape better future strategies in its business.

Daizo Ito, Managing Executive Officer, Regional Head for ISAMEA, Senior Vice-President, Eco Solutions Company in charge of Overseas Business said: “One of the main focuses of this enterprise would be to bring together Panasonic’s research and development efforts under one umbrella.”

It will work as a hub that will be central to developing new-age technology, driven range of products that will emerge from India for both domestic and global consumption, added Manish Sharma, President and CEO, Panasonic India and South Asia and Vice-President, Appliances Company, Panasonic Corporation.

The Innovation Centre is a step towards Panasonic India’s vision of being an autonomous body for the entire ISAMEA (India, South Asia, Middle East and Africa) region and will drive innovations for the future.
