T-Hub, the start-up incubator, has tied up with Pears Foundation of Israel to conduct a ‘bination hackathon’.
The 36-hour Med4Dev hackathon will focus on affordable healthcare. It will be held across four cities – Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Tel Aviv. The Hyderabad hackathon will be conducted by T-Hub at Gachibowli.
“This hackathon will build bridges between the innovation ecosystems of Israel and India by providing a platform for entrepreneurs and industry experts from both the countries to work together to pioneer affordable healthcare solutions,” Jay Krishnan, Chief Executive Officer of T-Hub, said.
The incubator held a pre-hackathon conference at the campus to brief the prospective start-ups about the programme.
Winners of the hackathon will receive a minimum cash prize of Rs 1 lakh for each sponsored challenge and a fully paid for trip to Tel Aviv for other challenges.
Four Indian entrepreneurs participating in the 45-day mentoring package will receive a one week, tailor-made acceleration program in Tel-Aviv in Israel.
Medtronic, L.V.Prasad Eye Institute, IIT-Hyderabad, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Bitkemy Ventures and Venturesity are also partners in the programme.
