Digital technology services player UST Global has helped the Professional Examination Board (PEB) in Madhya Pradesh to move all exams online from September this year.

This has brought in a higher degree of transparency and speed with the conduct of the exams, according to Bhaskar Lakshakar, Director, PEB.

PEB has a mandate to conduct all examinations (entrance exams and recruitment exams) for the Madhya Pradesh government, except those under the purview of the Public Services Commission.

“The decision to move PEB exams online has helped tremendously – data security and faster result processing are just two main features that have improved,” he said.

Candidates get to know their scores as soon as they complete the exam. Their feedback suggests that most are satisfied with the online tests and the enhanced transparency.

“It has prepared us for 2017 and the calendar is published. I am also proud to state that there are no results are now pending, except for the most recent one,” Lakshakar said.

Alexander Varghese, Chief Administrative Officer, UST Global, said the company draws great satisfaction from having enabled a digital journey that is changing the face of governance in Madhya Pradesh.

PEB’s decision to make exams fully online is aligned to the larger Digital India mission. Security features like One-Time Passwords and signal jammers are confidence boosters for all concerned. PEB has linked Aadhaar-enabled biometrics to ensure candidate authenticity.

It has leveraged mobile proliferation and internet connectivity to connect better with the candidates, especially those in rural areas, thanks to a mobile app and push SMS, among others.

PEB had provided mock tests to through its Web site and tied up with Regional Capacity Building Centers to conduct mock tests so candidates gain confidence on the required computer skills.
