Castorseed futures continued to decline as traders trimmed their position. On the other side, spot castorseed increased marginally on the back of fresh export enquiries. On the NCDEX, castorseed February contract declined by ₹34 to ₹4,105 a quintal with an open interest of 99,580 lots. March contract lost ₹28 to ₹4,174. Market sources said that besides subdued trend on low domestic and export demand, increased supplies in the spot markets put pressure on castor futures. Rajkot Commodity Exchange (RCX) castorseed March contract was down ₹13 to ₹4,091. RCX spot castorseed gained ₹12.50 to ₹3,987.50. About 18,000-20,000 bags of castorseed arrived in Gujarat and price was up ₹5 to ₹800-810 for a maund of 20 kg. Around 2,100-2,200 bags arrived in Saurashtra and went for ₹765-775. Castor oil was up ₹5 to ₹825/10 kg.
