Edible oils market witnessed higher volume in palmolein at steady price tracking firm overseas markets. On the BCE, groundnut and soya oil rose by ₹10 and ₹5 each. Cotton refined oil and palmolein dropped by ₹5 and ₹1 each.
Sources said despite sharp rise in foreign markets, local refineries kept their rates unchanged on back of favourable import parity. Liberty’s rates for palmolein were at ₹585, super palmolein ₹620, soyabean refined oil ₹680.
Allana traded palmolein for ₹585, soya refined oil ₹680 and sunflower refined oil ₹732. At Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin was steady at ₹1,380 and loose (10 kg) was at ₹875.
