Masur has been witnessing a downtrend in Indore mandis with arrival of the new crop gathering pace. Masur (bold) today declined to ₹4,800-4,950 a quintal, while masur (Madhya Pradesh) ruled at ₹4,600-4,800.
According to Prakash Vora, a local pulse trader, with weather benefiting masur crop this year, quality of new crop has turned out to be better as compared to previous year and this is expected to spur demand for the new crop from millers. Masur dal (average) declined to ₹6,200-50, masur dal (medium) at ₹6,300-50, while masur dal (bold) ruled at ₹6,400.
Urad (bold) was being quoted at ₹5,900-6,000, while urad (medium) ruled at ₹5,500-5,700. Urad dal (medium) went for ₹6,600-6,800, urad dal (bold) at ₹6,900-7,000, while urad mongar ruled at ₹7,600-7,900. Moong (bold) ruled at ₹7,800-8,000, while moong (medium) ruled at ₹7,200-7,400. Moong dal (medium) went for ₹8,700-8,900, moong dal (bold) at ₹9,100-9,300, while moong mongar was quoted at ₹9,300-9,500 a quintal.
