Tur has been witnessing a bullish trend in Indore mandis for the past few days with demand outstripping arrival. Uptrend in tur continued on Wednesday with tur (Maharashtra) being quoted at ₹4,700-50 (up ₹100) a quintal, while tur (Madhya Pradesh) rose to ₹4,000-4,200.
According to trade sources, delay in sowing of tur this year due to delay in monsoon and decline in domestic stock has resulted in the bullish trend. Further, higher imports have also lent strength to the uptrend.
Tur dal (full) was at ₹6,600-6,800, tur dal (sawa no.) at ₹5,900-6,100, while tur marka ruled at ₹7,200. Moong and urad declined on weak buying support at higher rate with moong (bold) ₹6,500-6,600, moong (medium) at ₹5,800-6,200. Moong dal(medium) was ₹7,600-7,800, moong dal (bold) ₹7,900-8,100, while moong mongar ruled at ₹8,050-8,250. Urad also declined on weak buying with urad (bold) at ₹6,200-6,300, while urad (medium) ruled at ₹5,300-5,600.
