Spot pepper prices slipped marginally on selling pressure on Monday. Inter-State dealers were buying while exporters showed interest at lower levels, market sources told BusinessLine . On the terminal market, 31 tonnes arrived from the high ranges, Wayanad district and resellers were traded at ₹685-₹695 and ₹700 a kg. Wayanad pepper sellers were asking for ₹690 a kg, while buyers were at ₹685 a kg. Similarly, high range sellers were at ₹695 a kg but the buyers were quoting ₹690 a kg. Karnataka sellers were quoting ₹700 a kg. Spot prices dipped by ₹100 a quintal to close at ₹68,400 (ungarbled) and ₹71,400 (garbled) a quintal. December, January and February futures on the IPSTA remained unchanged at previous levels. Export prices were at $11,000 a tonne c&f for Europe and $11,250 a tonne c&f for the US.
