Barring chana, all pulses and pulse seeds ruled firm in Indore mandis on Friday. The rally in chana continued with demand outstripping arrival. On Friday, chana (kanta) rose to ₹3,250-75, while chana (desi) ruled at ₹2,900. Decline in sowing area and apprehension of lower crop output have added to the uptrend in chana and it will likely to continue in the coming days, said Prakash Vora, a local wholesale chana trader.
Masur, moong and urad ruled firm on subdued buying. Masur (bold) ruled at ₹6,050-6,100, while masur (Madhya Pradesh) was quoted at ₹5,500-5,600. Masur dal (medium) was at ₹6,650-6,750, while masur dal (bold) ruled at ₹6,950-7,050.
Urad (bold) was steady at ₹6,000-6,100, while urad (medium) ruled at ₹5,500-5,600. Urad dal (medium) was ₹6,750-6,850, urad dal (bold) at ₹6,950-7,100, while urad mongar ruled at ₹7,300-7,600.
Moong (bold) went for ₹7,800-8,100, while moong (medium) was ₹7,000-7,500. Moong dal (medium) was at ₹8,850-9,050, moong dal (bold) ₹9,150-9,350, while moong mongar ruled at ₹9,400-9,700.
