Energy stocks BPCL and Tata Power built on their early momentum to surge higher on the NSE ahead of the close on Monday.
BPCL was trading at ₹601.70, up 5.62 per cent on its previous close at ₹569.70. Tata Power gained 4.09 per cent to quote at ₹108.05 as against ₹103.80 at close last week.
IDFC surged 5.34 per cent to trade at ₹135.20 as against ₹128.35 at close last Friday.
Punjab National Bank was also up 4.13 per cent at ₹990.80 as against last week’s close at ₹951.50.
Sun Pharma Industries extended last week’s firm trend into trading this week. It was quoting at ₹686.50 as against ₹660.85 at close last week. This represented a gain of 3.88 per cent.
