Hindustan Unilever notched up gains of 2.54 per cent on the BSE to emerge the top gainer on the bourse at mid-morning on Thursday.
At 11.55 am the share was trading at Rs 939.45 as against Rs 916.20 at close on Wednesday.
Wipro spurted 1.63 per cent to quote at Rs 668.95. The share had ended the overnight session at Rs 658.20.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries rode up 1.63 per cent to quote at Rs 1,021.15. The share had closed yesterday’s session at Rs 1,004.80.
Dr Reddy’s Labs perked up 1.36 per cent at Rs 3,435.35 as against Rs 3,389.15 at close on Wednesday.
HDFC built gains of 0.67 per cent at Rs 1,374.30 as against Rs 1,365.20 at close yesterday.
The benchmark indices the Sensex and the Nifty were mildly in the green on weak global cues. At mid-session the Sensex had gained about 65 points to trade near the 29,450 level, while the Nifty had gained less than 10 points to trade below the 8,940 mark.
