Cipla maintained its firm undertone but was off its morning highs ahead of the close on the BSE on Tuesday. At 2.55 pm the stock was trading at ₹559.20, up 5.57 per cent on its previous close at ₹529.70.
The stock hit record highs today after it received approval for the sale of its combination inhaler Serroflo in Germany and Sweden.
Bharti Airtel inched up further to keep gains of 4.38 per cent at ₹392.40. The stock had ended the previous session at ₹375.95.
Sun Pharma was firm but a tad softer at ₹863.10. The stock had closed the overnight session at ₹842.10.
Hero MotoCorp made further ground in late trading. It was up 1.84 per cent at ₹2,810 as against ₹2,759.25 at close on Monday.
HDFC Bank firmed up 1.66 per cent at ₹855.5. It had closed the previous session at ₹841.55.
