Andhra Petrochemicals on Tuesday informed the exchanges that its plant at Visakhapatnam has resumed operations from January 10. The company had shut the plant on December 19 following a surge in imports and transport constraints. Shares of Andhra Petrochemicals were up 5 per cent at ₹26.35 on the NSE.

Hikal announced that the company’s API and Intermediates manufacturing facility located at Jigani, Bangalore, was recently inspected by the US FDA. At the end of the successful inspection, the company was informed by the US regulator that ‘zero’ 483 observations were issued. This was a routine inspection by the US FDA. Shares of Hikal, which registered its new 52-week high at ₹256.80, closed with a gain 11 per cent at ₹241.60.

Platinum Investment and Management sold 15 lakh shares or 0.35 per cent stake in Housing Development & Infrastructure (HDIL) . The shares were sold in the open market on January 6, HDIL informed the exchanges on Tuesday. Post-stake sale, Platinum Investment’s shareholding in HDIL decreased to 4.21 per cent. Shares of HDIL were up 0.56 per cent at ₹63.40 on the NSE.
