Gujarat Industries Power Company has commissioned 12.6 MW wind turbine generators of the Kuchhdi Wind Farm site at Porbandar in Gujarat. In a release to the exchanges, the company said it has received the certificate of commissioning from Gujarat Energy Development Agency. With this, the 50.4 MW wind farm site at Kuchhdi is now fully commissioned, it added. Shares of Gujarat Industries Power ended almost flat at ₹107.35 on the NSE.
Elecon Engineering Company has won an order worth ₹59 crore from Indian Farmers Fertiliser Co-Operative (IFFCO) for expansion of facilities at its Kandla, Gujarat unit on turnkey basis. The project has to be completed in approximately 12 months, the company said in a notification to the stock exchanges. Shares of Elecon Engineering were up 4 per cent at ₹59.90 on the NSE.
Uttam Sugar Mills on Monday informed the exchanges that it has temporarily stopped manufacturing operations at its distillery division in Barkatpur. The company had received an order from Central Pollution Control Board to close down the operations to comply with its directions. The company expects to re-start manufacturing operations soon. The company said it is unable to quantify the loss at present, but does not expect substantial loss due to the closure. It further said that it has not taken insurance to cover such loss. Shares of Uttam Sugar Mills were up 0.7 per cent at ₹103.25 on the NSE.
