HDFC extended its morning gains to stay ahead of the pack on the BSE on Friday. At 3 pm the scrip was trading up 4.32 per cent at ₹1,108. The stock had ended the previous session at ₹1,062.10.
The market surged to record highs on Friday, with the Sensex soaring 519.50 points or 1.9 per cent to 27,865.83 and the 50-share NSE index Nifty jumping 153 points or 1.87 per cent to 8,322.20.
GAIL (India) sailed up 3.97 per cent to quote at ₹529.90 as against ₹509.65 at close on Thursday.
Larsen & Toubro surged 3.62 to quote at ₹1,655. The stock had ended the previous session at ₹1,597.15.
Tata Steel spiked up 3.45 per cent at ₹490.75 as against ₹474.40 at close yesterday.
Maruti Suzuki sped up 3.05 per cent at ₹3,341 as against ₹3,242.15 at close yesterday.
