Bharti Airtel was broadly firm near the close on Wednesday, a day after it announced it had posted a 61 per cent rise in first quarter net profit at ₹1,081 crore.
At 3.40 pm the stock was trading at ₹373.15 on the NSE, a gain of 5.42 per cent on its close at ₹353.95 on Monday. The markets were closed for Eid on Tuesday.
Lupin perked up in the latter half of the session to hold gains of 4.90 per cent at ₹1,173.50. The stock had ended Monday’s session at ₹1,118.65.
Punjab National Bank made gains of 4.10 per cent to trade at ₹978.35. The stock was quoting at ₹939.80 at the close on Monday.
Kotak Mahindra Bank extended its morning gains to 3.51 per cent at ₹974.25. The stock had finished Monday’s session at ₹941.20.
DLF surged 2.96 per cent at ₹200.10. It had ended the previous session at ₹194.35.
