BHEL steamed up 2.84 per cent to lead the top gainers on the NSE on Friday morning. At 10.45 am the share was trading at Rs 264.65 as against Rs 257.35 at close yesterday.
Extending yesterday's rally both the Sensex and the Nifty notched up gains on the back of the US Fed commitment to hold interest rate hikes in the near term. The Sensex was up over 340 points, while the Nifty gained over 90 points in the session.
Sesa Sterlite spiked up 2.75 per cent to quote at Rs 209.35. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 203.75.
Coal India gained 2.58 per cent to trade at Rs 377.05 as against Rs 367.55 at close yesterday.
M&M rode up 2.58 per cent to trade at Rs 1,243.50. The share had closed Thursday’s session at Rs 1,212.25.
Tata Power charged up 2.52 per cent to quote at Rs 83.45 as against Rs 81.40 at close on Thursday.
