The National Stock Exchange has included Amtek Auto, Bosch, Engineers India, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Strides Arcolab and Wockhardt into the derivative segment from November 28. With the inclusion in the F&O segment, these stocks will become more liquid, as smart traders and arbitrage funds will try to benefit from mis-pricing between cash and derivative prices. These stocks will not attract circuit filter hereafter.
Godfrey Phillips turns₹2 face value company
Shares of Godfrey Phillips will remain in focus on the bourses from Friday, as the tobacco company has fixed November 28 as the ex-date for stock split. The company proposes to subdivide each share of face value ₹10 to 5 shares of face value ₹2 each. The stock, which closed at ₹3,054.85 on the BSE on Thursday, will start trading in the range of ₹600-625 post-stock split. Those buying the shares from Friday will not get stock-split shares.
Fund raising to keep IL&FS Engg in focus
The stock of IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company will remain active, as its board is meeting on Friday to consider additional fund-raising options. The company reported a loss of ₹37.89 crore for the quarter ended September, lower than loss of (₹53.25 crore) in 2013. For the June quarter, this construction and project management firm reported a loss of ₹36.81 crore. Analysts keen to know about the quantum and mode of fund-raising.
