Zerodha, a discount brokerage firm, has recorded a growth of 166 per cent in client base during the current financial year, according to Karthik Rangappa, vice-president (education services) of Zerodha.
Addressing presspersons in Mangaluru on Tuesday, he said Zerodha has a user base of over 2.42 lakh across the country.
In Karnataka, Zerodha has offices in Mysuru, Belagavi, Hubballi, Bidar, Kalaburagi and Mangaluru. It has grown at a rate of 98 per cent in the state during the current financial year, Rangappa said.
He said Zerodha had recently launched ‘Rupee Tales’, a set of five illustrated story books explaining basic concepts of finance to children in the age group of 7-14 years. The set of five books gives information on savings, banking and inflation, taxes, insurance and stock markets.
