The Indian Society for Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering, in association with Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, is organising a two-day national conference here on ‘Recent advances in composites design and manufacturing.
M Chandradathan, Director of the 'Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, will inaugurate the event on Friday, a spokesman for the organisers said here.
At least 200 delegates from various organisations, including ISRO and DRDO, and academic institutions like IITs will take part.
The aim is to shed light on areas of composite processing, product development and recent technologies of composite manufacturing.
It will also provide an opportunity to exchange information on latest advances in composite design, materials and practices in manufacturing among R&D organisations, academia and industrial agencies.
The conference will have plenary lectures and invited lectures. An exhibition is also being organised, the spokesman added.
