Aarati Krishnan, Editorial Consultant, Business Line, and former head of Business Line Research Bureau, received the Shriram Sanlam award for Excellence in Financial Journalism in the financial markets category.
She was presented the award, which included a cash prize of ₹1 lakh, a citation and a trophy, at a function in Mumbai on Friday. Arvind Mayaram, Finance Secretary, who was the chief guest on the occasion, gave away the awards.
The awards are instituted by the Shriram and Sanlam group to promote and reward excellence in financial journalism.
This is the second annual award. A distinguished jury headed by Gopal Srinivasan, Chairman and Managing Director TVS Capital, chose the winners.
