Showing his zeal for innovation, an 11-year-old boy suffering from a serious genetic disorder has designed a ramp system enabling easy access to vehicles for the disabled.
Wheelchair-bound Hridyeshwar Singh Bhati, who has been awarded three patents for innovation in circular chess game, said he worked upon the idea of making a vehicle disabled- friendly from access point of view after he faced difficulties in getting into a car.
The custom-made ramp can be slided and attached to the vehicle floor and helps a wheelchair-bound person to get into the vehicle with relative ease.
The boy’s father Sarowar Singh Bhati that the system was tried on two cars, including a sports utility vehicle, after making slight modifications and without incurring major expenditure.
Hridyeshwar has three patents for three types of circular chess boards to his name. The three boards collectively make 100 chess variants.
