“We need to convert both knowledge and waste into wealth,” said Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways.
Addressing the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore’s (IIMB) International Business Summit – Vista, Gadkari stressed on the importance of recycling.
“Resources are never a constraint,” he said and urged the students to have a positive mindset while following a development-oriented approach.
The Minister inspiring regaled the audience with anecdotes about how to become responsible leaders and said innovation, e-governance, technology and entrepreneurship would drive India’s growth.
The three-day summit, Vista 2015, celebrates things local and home-grown with the central theme being ‘Indi-Genius’ in the spirit of the ’Make in India’ campaign.
This year’s edition of Vista also marks the return of the Young Leaders’ Summit, a pioneering workshop which introduces tomorrow’s leaders into the domains of politics, business and defence.
Winners at the summit take home funding and incubation offers from IIMB’s entrepreneurial studies centre, the NSRCEL, during the finals of one of the largest B-plan competitions in South Asia - IIMB’s Bzzwings. For the first time ever, Vista will also host a MUN (Model United Nations) to identify the next generation of orators and policy-thinkers.
