Enclave dwellers on both sides of the Indo-Bangladesh border on Monday jointly requested the Centre to place the Constitutional Amendment Bill for Land Boundary Agreement with Bangladesh in the ongoing session of Parliament. The residents on Bangladeshi enclaves in India carried out a demonstration at Cooch Behar district of West Bengal. The demonstrations on both sides of the border were carried out under the banner of the Bharat Bangladesh Enclave Exchange Coordination Committee (BBEECC). Post implementation of the Land Boundary Agreement, the Indian enclaves in Bangladesh will be swapped with the Bangladeshi enclaves in India.
