As part of efforts to spread the message of energy conservation, Delhi will join a billion people across the globe to observe ‘Earth Hour’ on Saturday. Discom BSES has urged Delhiites to join the initiative by switching off their electrical appliances between 8.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. Earth Hour is an annual international event organised by the World Wide Fund for Nature that encourages households and businesses to turn off their lights and electrical appliances for an hour at the appointed time to raise awareness about the need to take action on climate change.

The fourth and final Test match of the India-Australia series gets underway in Dharamsala on Saturday. Another tough contest is on the cards with both teams level 1-1 in the series. Kawasaki is to launch new models of its bikes in the country on Saturday. According to reports, the Japanese bike maker plans to launch the Z900, which was unveiled at the Intermot motorcycle show in Germany last year and will be imported in the country as CBU from Thailand. Amid rumours of the BJP looking at going to polls in Gujarat early, the Aam Aadmi Party has decided to convert its March 26 public rally to be held in Ahmedabad to a party gathering for mobilising its party volunteers from across 182 assembly seats. While the rally will be addressed by the party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, it will be restricted to party volunteers and booth level workers.
