International Kuchipudi Dance Convention to be held in Hyderabad aims to surpass its own Guinness Record with over 6000 dancers from across the globe performing together on one stage.
The fourth edition of the Convention is being organised by Silicon Andhra in association with Amara Raja Group in Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad during December 26-28.
Kuchipudi dancers from various parts of the world will converge here. The event aims to surpass its own previous Guinness record with more than 6000 Kuchipudi dancers together performing the 600-year-old ancient dance form.
The conference would also have a grand group recital “Maha Brinda Natyam” wherein thousands of dancers from all over the world are expected to perform.
Jayadev Galla, Vice-Chairman, Amara Raja Group, in a statement said “Indian art forms have are a source of inspiration for the spiritual and cultural values that guide our society. Kuchipudi dance is a unique art form that has its origins in Andhra Pradesh but embraced by dancer lovers across the country and now spreading even to other countries.”
