Textiles Minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar on Wednesday launched the central management information system for Integrated Skills Development Scheme (ISDS).
ISDS envisages training of fifteen lakh persons in textile and allied sectors over the period of the 12th Year Plan.
The scheme provide for an management information system (MIS) to ensure transparency and skills exchange, which is developed with a view to monitor the progress of the scheme.
“The MIS is equipped with generation of customised report for various relevant indicators of the scheme at any given point of time. This will enable the users to generate dynamic reports as per the requirement,” an official statement said.
ISDS is a flagship scheme of Ministry of Textiles. The minister has also released the documentation on the good practices adopted at Shantipur Textiles Cluster in West Bengal.
