A ‘Mother and Child Tracking Facilitation Centre’ was inaugurated by Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Ghulam Nabi Azad in Delhi.

This centre, set up with the support of GVK EMRI, tracks the health of pregnant women and newborn.

According to a statement, it aims to validate the data record of all the States maintained by the regional ‘Mother and Child Tracking Systems’ (MCTS) about the pregnant women and newborn children, along with the records of health workers enrolled so far.

It was commissioned in the presence of GVK EMRI CEO, Subodh Satyawadi, and Additional Secretary and Managing Director, National Rural Health Mission, Anuradha Gupta.

This project is aimed at supporting pregnant women and newborn with healthcare records and immunisation and vaccination status of newborn. The data is validated and feedback from the beneficiaries is documented. The beneficiaries have the opportunity to share their experiences and also suggestions for improvements if any.

This project is also aimed at auditing the efficiencies of the various projects/schemes initiated by the Union Government regarding the pregnant woman and child across various States.

The facilitation centre with 80 technicians is situated at the National Institute of Health & Family Welfare campus and it has a capacity of 80 technicians.

The GVK Emergency Management and Research Institute was instituted with the objective of providing emergency care services. The service currently operates across 14 States and two Union Territories catering to about 750 million people across the country.
