The State Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate ‘Kerala Business-to-Business Meet 2016’ for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) at CIAL Trade Fair & Exhibition Centre at Nedumbassery on February 4.
The meet, organised by the Department of Industries and Commerce, will bring together 200 SMEs from Kerala and nearly 490 buyers from India and abroad.
The major aim of the meet is to facilitate a direct and beneficial interaction between trade and business community in the international market and small scale manufacturers in Kerala.
Addressing the media, V Rajagopal, Chief Executive Officer, Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion (K-BIP), said “this time, we have included new sellers, who did not get a chance to be part of the event in the previous years.”
“The highest numbers of buyers are from Sri Lanka. Around 7,000 business interactions are expected at this year’s meet, higher than 5,100 last year,” he said.
Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is the business partner of the event.
