Starting today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address one big rally in each of the 32 districts of Gujarat. Modi has visited Gujarat almost 10 times in months ahead of the polls to attend various government events. Elections to Gujarat's 182-seat assembly will be held on December 9 and 14.

Over 35,000 have signed up for the Delhi half-marathon this year. The 13th edition of the race, one of the top half marathons in the world, has been mired in controversy after the Indian Medical Association called for its cancellation owing to the smog in the natonal capital. On the day of the run, the entire course would be washed with treated water mixed with salt followed by intermittent spraying of water on the route from 2am to 10am.
President Ram Nath Kovind will begin a four-day visit to the north-eastern region. He will inaugurate the new legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh in Itanagar. He is also set to address the legislators at a special session of the Assembly on Sunday.
