President Pranab Mukherjee today congratulated ISRO for the successful launch of ‘Mangalyan’, Mars Orbiter Spacecraft, and said it was a significant milestone that will inspire more scientists to make greater strides in achieving goals.
In his message to Chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), K. Radhakrishnan, the President said: “This launch of India’s first dedicated Mars Orbiter Spacecraft is a significant milestone in the progress of our space programme and space applications.
“This day shall go down as a landmark in our space programme, a day which will inspire our scientists to make even greater strides in achieving our national goals in the field of space.”
He congratulated Radhakrishnan and asked him to convey his greetings to the members of the team of scientists and others involved in “greater mission” of successful launch of the Mars Orbiter Spacecraft powered by PSLV-C25 rocket.
