Trickle Up, a US-based not-for-profit organisation, helped 7,558 ultrapoor (earning $1.25 or less a day) in India, West Africa, and Central America start their families on a path out of poverty and, in doing so, improved the lives of more than 37,000 people.
This year, Trickle Up entered its 34th year. During 2012 calendar year, it obtained a three-year grant from the Ford Foundation to increase the Trickle Up India programme, according to the annual report of the organisation.
