Students of IIM Indore recently enjoyed vibrant Kathakali performance by famous Kathakali exponent Kalamandalam M. Amaljith and his 6 member team at the IIM Indore campus as part of the Virasat 2013 series. The institute was celebrating first year anniversary of the SPIC MACAY IIM Indore Chapter. The dancers began their performance by demonstrating the Navarasas in the context of how students react to examinations. They made a presentation about the evolution of Kathakali. The main attraction of the evening was performance of a part of ‘Nalacharitham’, which is the story of King Nala and Damayanti from the Mahabharata. The artists were honoured by the faculty and students.
